Probably the most popular material for milling CAM in prosthetics are zirconium oxide discs, commonly known as zirconium discs or milling blocks . Zirconium oxide is a ceramic material without the addition of glass, which is made of very fine grains. It is the quality of the zirconium oxide powder grains that determines whether the zirconia block will fulfill its task.

The advantages and properties of zirconium discs are mainly high crush resistance, crack resistance, fine-grained structure, biocompatibility and biocompatibility. In addition, it guarantees high tightness of the crown and precise adherence to the natural dentition. It does not cause any allergies in patients. Thanks to their abrasion resistance, zirconium teeth can be used for a very long time, combining quality with a very high aesthetic effect.

We also offer PMMA blocks . PMMA is a popular material made of polymethyl methacrylate. It is a resin that is great for making crowns and bridges for temporary restorations. The big advantage of the material is its biodegradability, thanks to which it burns without any residue. In addition, PMMA has a high bending strength> 80MPa, natural fluorescence and high transparency. It is very easy to mill with only minimal wear on the cutters. It costs about PLN 80 for a disc in any Vita color and regardless of the height, from which up to 30 points can be cut - this makes it one of the favorite materials of prosthetists.

Acrylic resin has great potential, thanks to which it is constantly being improved. PMMA multilayer is already a standard, which ensure smoother transitions of layers of a given color.

Ceramill Sintron has revolutionized the CNC-based dry machining of base metal restorations on benchtop laboratory milling machines. The waxy consistency of Ceramill Sintron enables problem-free dry milling of the material. During the subsequent sintering process in a shielding gas atmosphere, the frameworks obtain their final material properties - CoCr alloy with a very homogeneous material structure. The block in its pre-crystallized state has a characteristic white color that goes through the shade of blue to blue-gray. The color depends on the composition and structure of the glass ceramics. The strength of the material in this state is 130-150 MPa and is therefore comparable with other glass-ceramic blocks currently available on the market. After the blocks are cut out, the restoration is crystallized in an Ivoclar Vivadent ceramic kiln (eg Programat CS). The crystallization process is easy to carry out and, unlike other CAD / CAM systems, the restorations made in this way do not shrink and do not require a time-consuming infiltration process, and the entire process takes about 20-25 minutes. Crystallization at 840 ° C causes changes in the structure of the ceramics, and the growth of lithium disilicate crystals takes place. The associated densification of 0.2% is already provided for in the CAD software and taken into account in the process of cutting the restoration. Due to changes in the structure, the strength of the material increases to 360 MPa and it obtains appropriate optical properties.
IPS e.max CAD blocks have a natural brightness. Due to the translucency and the variety of shades, fully anatomical restorations can be made of this glass-ceramic without any problems.

The Programat S1 1600 is a compact lightweight sintering furnace for IPS e.max ZirCAD, Zenostar and other ZrO2.

A unique feature of this furnace is the maximum sintering temperature of 1600 ° C / 2912 ° F. Another advantage is the possibility of short-term sintering, which not only reduces the time needed to make zirconium oxide structures, but also saves energy. Programat S1 puts an end to long sintering processes, its capabilities allow you to sinter single crowns in 75 minutes and bridges (up to 4 points) in only 90 minutes. By comparison, conventional sintering furnaces take five to eight hours to perform the same process. Rapid sintering is also possible when making full-shape zirconium oxide crowns with increased translucency. For the laboratory, the possibility of short sintering means that crowns, bridges and zirconium structures can be made during a normal working day. The short sintering time does not affect the high strength of the material and the accuracy of matching zirconium structures, which has been confirmed by repeated scientific research. Additionally, the electricity consumption in the laboratory is drastically reduced
