It is a type 3 alloy, intended mainly for the production of substructures for ceramic restorations (crowns and bridges).

Characteristics:

  • precision: characterized by excellent castability, which allows the casting of precise, thin-walled structures;
  • is characterized by a stable composition, ensuring good corrosion resistance and biocompatibility;
  • compatibility with ceramics: the WAK coefficient (14.5) makes Niadur work perfectly with most standard ceramic masses (e.g. Vita, Ivoclar, Hera-Ceram and others);
  • Ease of processing: with a hardness of 194 HV10, the alloy is relatively soft compared to cobalt-chromium alloys, making it easier to mill, grind and polish;
  • aesthetics: creates a thin, bright oxide layer, which facilitates masking the metal with opaque and prevents discoloration of the ceramic.
