Izolit SL is a colloidal solution based on alginic acid salts, stabilized with a bactericidal agent and colored.

Application:

• Designed to isolate the surface of plaster molds from methacrylate dough.

How to use:

• a plaster mould, made in a generally accepted manner, should be thoroughly rinsed with a stream of boiling water in order to completely remove the modelling wax;
• the ease of spreading the insulating fluid and its proper adhesion to the mould surface later depend on the good melting of the wax, therefore special attention should be paid to this step;
• then pour IZOLIT SL liquid into a small container and use a soft brush to cover the surface of the plaster mold, previously heated to a temperature of approx. 40ºC;
• After a few minutes, it is advisable to re-apply a layer of IZOLIT SL to the plaster;
• Once the insulating layer has dried, you can start forming the methacrylate dough.

Attention:

• the brush used to coat the plaster form should not be immersed directly in the bottle of IZOLIT SL, as the plaster residue on it may cause the liquid in the bottle to gel;
• For the same reason, you should not pour any remaining liquid from the container into the bottle.
