Agar heaters

Prosthetics / Prosthetic devices / Agar heaters

In this category (Prosthetics / Prosthetic devices / Agar melting units) you will find professional laboratory equipment necessary for the model duplication process. An agar melting unit is specialized equipment used for the precise melting and preparation of agar mass for pouring molds.

How does an agar melting unit work?

The device is equipped with a drum with mixing blades, which ensure even melting of the mass. A key function of the agar melting unit is the controlled thermal process: * Melting: Heating the agar to a temperature of approx. 72°C. * Cooling: Lowering the mass temperature to an optimal 42°C, which allows for safe pouring of the mold without the risk of damaging the wax on the plaster model.

Application in a prosthetic laboratory

The device operation process is intuitive and allows for precise dispensing of the mass using a drain valve. Thanks to the use of an agar melting unit, the technician can pour the mass next to the model in a controlled manner, ensuring that the agar layer covers the highest point of the model by at least 1 cm. After setting, which takes from 30 to 60 minutes, it is possible to gently remove the model and obtain a high-quality mold.

The use of an agar melting unit minimizes the risk of mold deformation and ensures repeatability of results in the daily work of a dental technician.
